Meet Amy Cross

After embracing yoga as a lifestyle for six years, Amy decided to dive deeper into this ancient, traditional practice by becoming a teacher to share it's gifts. So she completed a 200 hour teacher training through Prana Yoga Center in Grand Blanc in 2017.  

Since then, she has taught countless classes to students from all walks of life with her primary goal to help each student learn to make every practice their own. She believes that all students deserve the opportunity to learn how to adapt each practice to fit their own body through modifications and variations of poses. She takes the responsibility of guiding others through the exploration of the body and breath to heart. She maintains that ones yoga practice should be a spiritual experience, rather than just a workout. 

Off-the-mat, Amy has a custom cake bakery business. In her free time, she stays active by playing tennis and hockey. 
Above all, she considers her role as mom to three grown children and "Grammy" to two to be her most important work and love.
She lives by the words of Maya Angelou;
"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."
 It is her hope that if she makes her students feel even a little something special, amazing or out of the ordinary, then she has been successful.
